Shop in a high class residential area run by female owner with a delicate, sophisticated tasteBlue Lavender Florist elegantly blending the English Gardens and the French life-style
"Blue Lavender" is a florist on the Church Road of Barnes Village, South West London. The village is a prosperous SW district at the heart of London not far from Wimbledon and adjacent to Putney, where you can also find many other elegant shops. You cannot help jumping in to the shop when you pass by the entrance of the florist—it seems as if it is a beautiful private garden that belongs to someone. You will feel nostalgic as you enter the shop---it has a warm countryside atmosphere, surrounded by lots of beautiful flowers and accessories, and even the Victorian garden tools. Everything in the shop including grand mirrors, antique wardrobes or majestic tables are for sale.
The owner, Ms. Azar, was born in Iran but grew up in France and North England. She majored in biochemistry and once taught chemistry to unruly British teenagers. She opened the florist last year (2008), after working with the interior business while raising her kids. You will be impressed with her delicate and elegant aesthetic sense and taste by gazing at the sophisticated French country style furniture and accessories.
The garden style arrangement of the store and its mini-garden in the back of the shop matches the atmosphere of the village neighborhood surrounded by the rich green. She passionately states, "Flower arrangement and gardening had been my passion. I always wanted to do what I really want to. Each season, I try to feature fresh flowers in their best season. " She carefully selects domestic, seasonal flowers from the local market.
